No-notch Sony Xperia XZ3 screen resolution confirmed

There’s been plenty of back and forth in the rumor mill over the past couple of months regarding the camera technology and design of Sony’s third 2018 high-end smartphone, widely expected to be unveiled at the IFA trade show in Berlin in a few weeks.

At the end of the day, all we know for sure right now is an Xperia handset carrying model numbers H9461 and H9463 should see daylight soon with a relatively small 3,060 mAh battery under the hood.
Confusingly, user agent profiles for three other model numbers have been discovered earlier this week, confirming the screen resolution of these mysterious phones. The H8416, H9436, and H9493 will apparently share a trendy 2160 x 1080 display pixel count, resulting in an 18:9 (or 2:1) aspect ratio, and suggesting Sony still has no intention to embrace the increasingly prevalent notch.
Even more confusingly, a new rumor floating on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo hints at identical specs for the H8416, H9436, and H9493. A single device codenamed “Akatsuki” is allegedly in the pipeline, offering top-notch features like a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 and 8GB RAM options, 64 or 128GB internal storage, a 5.99-inch OLED panel, and Motion Eye Advanced camera technology.
