Samsung 2018 Q9FN QLED TV vs. 2017 Q9F QLED TV

Spread the love

Setting the 2018 Samsung Q9FN QLED next to the 2017 Q9F QLED shows just how much Samsung has improved it’s flagship QLED TV for this year. The 2017 QLED was a great looking TV with loads of features that made setup and installation easy. By comparison the 2018 QLED has picture quality that can rival OLED TV’s and packs in even more user friendly features.

Does it have a better picture than the Z9D? Most TV reviewers say the Z9D is still king 2 years later

Baaa let's talk about the blacks and he goes on for 10 minutes about the stand. Let's market the name QLED because it sounds like OLED and all of the Americans are stupid and wont know the differences. And not to mention it's almost $1000 more than the new OLED versions. I had a Samsung before going to LG OLED well all I can say way way better for OLED everything looks 3-D by itself. Unless you are in a 100% sun lighted room with no curtains then maybe look at the QLEDS.

If you recommend last year‘s model then I can’t believe anything else you have to say👎👎. You must get free TVs from Samsung

Don't forget the black crush, or the uncalibratable 2084 HDR EOTF PQ curve. Great blacks if you don't mind space with no stars.

2017 Buyers Got Screwed. But NOT as bad as 2018 Buyers Who DONT Get HDMI 2.1 Spec, And Will faint when the 2019 Has HDMI 2.1 And Adaptive HDR And a dozen features 2.1Brings.

  • May 25, 2018 at 06:09

Why no mention of the significantly skewed EOTF? Do you care about accuracy?

I'm planning on upgrading from a 2015 vizio m55, I was wondering how large of a jump this is? Is it worth the money or should I go with the Sony or LG non oled options? I'm looking at the 65 inch q9fn and Sony 65" x900f

I really like the design of these cabinets these TVs stand on. Can you share the brand that makes them?

The above tv is good for watching live sports and normal tv but for 4K HDR movies and 4K streaming lg oled wins🤓
