I think these companies are taking the piss $1000 for sod all you've got to spend more money to get anything out of it.

Thank you for the review, but why did it take until 6 minutes and 25 seconds to get an fps number for a game? Jesus

I’m concerned about reliability in these compact gaming PCs. I have an MSI Trident that refuses to power on, and apparently it was a widespread defect the company refused to acknowledge.

Ok… It's not fair that Alaina did this review… I can't say anything bad about it…

Where the 4K at? This is why MKBHD & Linus are gonna destroy you.

How about having the names of the components, product and specs written down somewhere before doing the video? Crazy idea I know.

this review seems rushed, unprepared and unprofessional.

It's a cool concept but just too expensive for the hardware they pack into it. You can buy a laptop with memory, storage and OS for about the same amount.

Hades is not the god of Hell. He is the god of the underworld, which is referred to as the underworld or by his name, Hades. The Christian concept of Hell was actually stolen from Norse mythology, not Greek. In Norse mythology, the souls of the unworthy are sent to Helheim which is ruled by the goddess Hel (or Hela depending on the script) and is often referred to as Hel, due to the ruler. IE Being sent to Hel.

This really doesn't cost that much compared to a desktop. If you were to but an i7, gtx 1060, motherboard, psu and case it would cost you $800 minimum. Then add ram and ssd just like the nuc, those costs would be the same. Plus if you want dual lan, bluetooth, WiFi, dual thunderbolt on your desktop thou might need to add more. So, for am extra 250 bucks I get the power of a desktop in my hands. This is not for kids to play games on. You could get an alienware alpha for that or an Xbox. This is perfect for someone who likes doing CAD design or 3D design and maybe some media creation with the benefit of taking this thing on the road. It's for professionals who also like to play games but don't want a huge desktop or $2000 laptop. I pre-ordered this and can't wait. I already have a nuc i5 and use an egpu with gtx 1070. The NUC is amazing and this will be even better. I also have a couple custom computers and just love computers in general. I know the limits and I made my decision based on getting the right tool for the job. To many this will be expansive but just remember a similar spec'd desktop is really only a couple hundred cheaper and not portable.

Not worth it, I can build an itx PC the size of an Xbox 1 cheaper, and it would be fully upgradable too. I would never do such a thing to myself, non upgradable PCs are for rich people, cause the day this shit starts going bad or slowing down, the only option there is is to throw it away. This is basically a laptop without a screen, a temporary waste of money.

Unless you need something that small, then this is way too expensive. You can build something with better specs for less.

i'm thinking to use one of these devices for video editing , i guess it will be ok

Thank you for this review 🙂 I think you just convinced me to get one 🙂

  • April 10, 2018 at 03:13

not to nit pick Hades was guardian of the underworld—different than catholic/ christian Hell.

  • April 16, 2018 at 02:28

Only useful if you really need something small and portable. Shouldn't something this small actually be cheaper? I mean its bascially a laptop with less parts.

  • April 20, 2018 at 11:26

Where exactly am i supposed to buy this i can't find it on Amazon

  • May 11, 2018 at 13:42

Hades isn't a god,, it's a place, just saying,, I liked your review,,

  • May 26, 2018 at 05:10

Greek god of the underworld not hell to different things, the Greek Mythology projects underworld as the place where dead live. Any body who dies and is not a given special treatment (is a demi-god or a warrior) goes to underworld. It depends on the actions or the incomplete tasks as a living person that torture the soul in the underworld.
But am rocking mine with 2x 970 2tb in raid0 and loving it best portable gaming computer ever
